The manager, whose name I forgot to ask, was eager to help and kept running around for us. I appreciated his effort, but the rest of the stay was frustrating. The cottage booked by my agent for three of us was too small, and once the extra bed was added there was no room to move. We arrived at 7 pm and were given the only room left. The food was pathetic. The phone didn’t work, so for anything I needed I had to go to reception; it still hadn’t been fixed after two days. The hot water was shared with the neighboring hotel, and staff said they had used it all. I waited an hour and a half after getting up early, then got one bucket and had to chase staff for two more. The TV was also in poor shape, with large black patches. It didn’t work at first, and after nearly half an hour of arguing they gave us a set top box that also failed. About an hour later they replaced it, but the picture was still bad. Navkaar Holiday’s agent said people came to see nature, not TV, and asked why I was complaining. You can avoid Navkaar Holiday too. There are much nicer options nearby.

The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful, and the spacious property is peaceful and beautiful once you get there. It’s quite far from the main market, though, and the twisty road can feel like a snake maze if you’re driving your own car there for the first time. There were also some big bugs in the room and bathroom, so that could be an issue if insects scare you. Food ordered separately and paid for was tasty and made to your preference. Breakfast was good, though the tea could be better. The buffet dinner was just average, less impressive than I expected.

The staff were courteous, attentive, and always ready to help, which gave the stay a personal touch. We found the property peaceful, with beautiful surroundings, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and equipped with modern amenities. Housekeeping paid close attention to detail. Check-in was smooth, and the welcome felt warm and professional from the start. The food was delicious and hygienic, with a good range of choices, and the dining room had a pleasant atmosphere with excellent service. A wonderful resort experience and a great break from routine.

I was looked after very well when I was unwell, and the service was really good. The rooms are decent, and they’re building some new ones too. The resort and its location are both very nice. I’d book again if I return to Nubra.
