Fabhotel Spring Leaf Gachibowli

My suite turned out to be two tiny rooms, each with a bed, which wasn't useful for a solo traveler like me. The room was very small, there was no proper wardrobe for hanging clothes, and the wardrobe was only 6 inches deep. The construction quality seemed very low too. In the bathroom, the sink is so small that water spills out when the tap is fully open. I wouldn't recommend it to business travelers looking for a quality stay.

The rooms and toilet were clean, and the hotel is close to HITEX, HiTech offices, and Inorbit Mall, so it works for a couple of nights. Still, there's at least a 0.5 KM walk to the main road if you want a decent restaurant. We had originally booked FabHotel V Hotel Hitech City, but there were no rooms when we arrived, so staff sent us to FabHotel Spring Leaf Gachibowli, tucked away in a corner. We had little choice at 8 AM and paid Rs. 300 per room for early check-in. Breakfast needs a lot of work. The poori and potato curry were cold, the poori was very chewy and the curry a bit spicy. The coffee and tea were cold too and had lots of sugar. For Rs. 1750 per double occupancy room, they should at least provide bottled water and a newspaper each morning. The elevator's disco lights should be replaced with normal lighting so it's easier to see. Unfortunately, the reception staff couldn't speak Telugu.

The location is good, and the room was just okay, neither bad nor especially good. Service was very slow and not good at all. I've stayed at other Fab Hotel properties, and this one didn't measure up. They didn't even give us basic toiletries.

The hotel entrance was blocked when I returned from work the next day. The owner had shut everyone out while arguing with the manager over several lakhs in unpaid rent for the rented property. She was polite to customers but wouldn't let us in. We waited at reception for an hour, and only got back inside after my office admin made several calls. I left in a hurry that same day. I was there for work in Hyderabad in May 2018, and this became the worst hotel stay I've had. I arrived around 10 pm, and the receptionist couldn't find my company's booking until I showed the confirmation email. The rooms felt like small one-bedroom apartments turned into hotel rooms. The main door lock was flimsy, the property was gloomy and poorly lit, and it didn't look maintained. There were very few guests. The TV didn't work. When I called reception, a man with chickenpox came to fix it, and I had to ask him to leave quickly. Breakfast the next morning was two vadas with watery sambar. Other problems included Wi-Fi that only worked near the room door, poor breakfast, no hot water, dirty linen, and two bottles of water that I think were just tap water. I heard the hotel was closing soon. The service was awful, so don't book it.
