Oyo Townhouse 601 Halcyon Hi-Tec City Near Medicover Hospital

The room we were first given had torn pillow covers, dirty sheets, and a wardrobe with broken doors. They agreed to move us, but the next three rooms had the same problems. We cancelled the booking and asked for a refund, which still hasn’t been processed. I had to scramble to find somewhere else for the night with my family. The receptionist or management seemed not to care about how disappointing the hotel was. Staff told us they’d been complaining for months, but management wasn’t listening. This was the filthiest hotel I can imagine. I’d give it a negative rating if I could. Don’t stay here unless you have a gun to your head. The place is nasty.

On 26/12/2025, I had a terrible experience. The manager gave me room 510 on the 5th floor, but it didn’t have a proper door lock. There was no towel, TV remote, hand wash, or body wash. I’d prepaid, yet the room was clearly not ready. There was no landline in the room, so I had to call staff through the OYO app. The manager kept saying the door could be locked from inside. When I asked how I was supposed to go out, he casually said it wouldn’t be a problem and I could lock it from inside. That made no sense. After I listed the issues, he said, “Sorry, I think the room is not ready.” Why give me the key if it wasn’t ready? He then said the whole property was like this and offered either to leave or take a room on the 4th floor. The second room had basic amenities, but still no hand wash or body wash, and I saw cockroaches moving around. A very disappointing, unpleasant stay. I wouldn’t recommend this property.

The location is accessible, the rooms are very neat, and the staff are friendly. It felt safe for a woman. I took off one star because I saw cockroaches on the floor, and the TV wasn’t working either.

The taps in the bathroom were broken, and electrical and plumbing outlets were left open. The door’s magic eye was blocked. The room was old and shabby, with a broken TV and landline, no Wi-Fi, and no towels or toiletries. Dust had collected on the curtains and windows, and the bedsheet was dirty and torn. When I asked for a change, staff said that was how it was and nobody made an issue of it. Breakfast was pathetic, served on paper plates and taken from a local roadside vendor outside the hotel.
