Juna Mahal Jungle Resort

The restaurant food had a great spread, tasted excellent, and the staff serving it were excellent too. The room decor was very nice, and the newly built private garden at the back is especially lovely. It’s a good place to unwind and stay, and I really enjoyed my time at June Mahal. One letdown was high tea. I expected at least two snacks, but we got only Aloo Bonda. When I asked for another option, the server flatly refused. Still, I’d recommend the place.

The food had plenty of variety and was delicious, and a complimentary room upgrade made the visit feel even more special. We were there with family and friends for my husband’s birthday, and Manohar and the whole team made sure everyone was comfortable and looked after. The place was spotless, and the staff’s warm, genuine care really stood out. They went above and beyond to make the birthday stay memorable. I’d highly recommend Juna Mahal for a getaway with family or friends.

Juna Mahal has the potential to become a five-star property if it’s managed well. It gave me the impression of a dream built with real passion by one owner, then sold to someone with the money but perhaps not enough experience to bring it to five-star level. The staff, chef, reception team, and managers came closest to five-star service. The food and spacious grounds felt more like four-star, while some other things were closer to three. The staff were genuinely nice and seemed to be doing a lot with limited resources, trying their best to make guests feel they were at a five-star hotel. I went in expecting that level because the place describes itself as five-star, so my hopes were high. I’d rate it 3.8/5.

The hotel was about a 15 minute drive from the starting point for the Ranthambhore tiger safari, which we were visiting. It was clean and well looked after, and the attentive staff gave very good service. When our toilet flush stopped working, they fixed it right away. We also enjoyed the large, welcoming dining room and the excellent swimming pool, which was modern and well maintained. There’s a shop at the hotel too, where my daughter had three dresses made within 24 hours. The staff were great, and we had a really enjoyable stay.
