Hotel South Avenue

The location is very good, in a quiet area with easy access, little traffic, and a peaceful property. The restaurant service and food quality were good, though the in-house bar is a bit costly. I booked a premier room, which was a comfortable size for one person. It might feel a bit tight for two. Service was good, but for anything I asked for, I had to call twice.

I stayed two nights, from 21 jan 2026 to 23 jan 2026. If the nightly rate is over INR 2500, I wouldn’t choose this place. The mirror and bathroom net were broken, and water bottles weren’t refilled on the second night, which was ridiculous. There was no toothbrush, disposable chappal, show shiner, iron, or hair dryer. Toiletries and those items are available only on request. It felt like a dharamshala, where you have to ask for everything.

The tablecloth looked old and unclean, and the food was a letdown across the board. The soup, Manchurian, dal makhani and paneer masala were all below average, with disappointing flavours and seasoning for the high prices. We had to ask three times for a menu, even though there were seven of us and hardly any tables occupied around 6:30-7. They seemed to assume everyone would take Bisleri, and when I asked for regular water, the staff member repeated the request as if it were surprising. I’ve lived in Indore all my life, and after a few years in Pune I didn’t expect to come home and find the food disappointing. I only visited the first-floor restaurant, so this is just about that.

During my stay from 21 Jan to 23 Jan 2026, there was no toothbrush, slippers, iron or hairdryer, and I found broken glass and broken windows. They also didn't refill the water when someone stayed longer than a day. You had to ask twice before anything would be provided. Choose wisely.
