The room was worth the price, and we appreciated the owner’s hospitality and help with our bags. He also gave us bike rental details, though we chose Uber since the prices were quite similar. Vinayak Guest House has its own restaurant and laundry service, and there were dustbins in both the room and bathroom. The room itself was spacious, with a large double bed, two chairs, a teapoy, and a bedside table. It had AC, but the AC went off overnight, which we only noticed in the morning. There was a balcony too. The bathroom was clean and neat, with hot water, and the wash basin was inside. The owner pointed us toward the nearby South Indian Vijayan's Thattukada, where the food was tasty, though Vijayan's was struggling with closure because of LPG cylinder scarcity. The guest house is about 1 km from Jaipur Railway Station, a walkable distance. It had a homely feel, the owner was helpful, and free Wi-Fi was available. There was no water filter, and water was served on request.

Sitaram ji was a wonderful host. He helped us plan our city tour and shared tips about getting an auto and visiting the fort. It was a comfortable, budget-friendly stay. I’d have rated it 5, but the room and washroom weren’t clean, and the mosquitoes and small insects flying around the room spooked me.

Sitaram uncle and Ayyub uncle were especially helpful in guiding me on my solo trip. The location was convenient and peaceful, and my room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a pleasant, relaxing visit.

The owner was rude when we checked in and asked us for extra money, saying all the rooms were full. Then he showed us a different room and wanted another 300 rupees for it, even though the rooms were all empty. It felt like they were just trying to get more money. Really bad behavior. Don’t book here. There are many good hotels in that area.

Our room was clean overall, but the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly, and the room still wasn’t ready at the scheduled time. We had a confirmed booking from Mumbai, with our arrival time clearly shared in advance. When we got there at 6 AM, staff made us wait in the waiting area for almost two hours, even after taking extra charges. We lost sightseeing time, and our cab had arrived and had to wait nearly an hour too, adding inconvenience and cost. The whole experience was disappointing. Management needs to improve check-in and respect the timings promised to guests.
