Shahid made us feel welcome the whole time, from offering to collect us at the train station, even after our train was delayed until 2 am, to having chai ready when we got back. He also took me to a local barber, tailor, and pharmacy and made sure I paid a fair price. We even got invited to eat with his family at their cumin farm outside town, which was really special. The room and hotel were so clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The chai and banana pancakes were delicious, and the mango lassi was the best we had in our month in India. There’s a gorgeous fort view from the rooftop. We also did a private overnight camel safari for 3500 INR, which felt very reasonable for dinner, breakfast, jeep transportation, camels, and the rest. There are cheaper options if you join a larger group. Having chai by the fire in the dunes and then sleeping under the stars was lovely. This was the best stay I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Thanks again for everything, Shahid!

The rooftop restaurant and bar became a real gathering spot. The food was very good quality and freshly made, and travelers, including people from nearby hostels, came for breakfast or to hang out over masala chai, pancakes, and stories. The hotel is clean and well maintained, but what sets it apart is how attentive and guest focused the owners are. They looked after every detail and could arrange trips such as a desert safari. It’s beside the fort wall on the southwest side, about 600 meters from the main entrance on the northeast side. The area isn’t completely quiet, but it’s noticeably less noisy than the busy centre, a nice balance of access and calm. After our night bus from Pushkar, Shahid, the Manager, collected us at the bus stops as an inclusive service. By sunrise we were drinking chai on the rooftop. The safari was well organized, with local desert villagers as guides. Riding the camels and being physically close to these calm, impressive animals felt authentic. Cooking outside and sleeping beneath the stars made it memorable. European visitors may picture the Thar Desert differently. Even 50 km outside the city, for example, you can see wind turbines. That’s part of the reality, with villages and the city needing more and more energy, and it didn’t take away from the experience. Relax Inn combines spotless rooms, great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming social atmosphere. Highly recommended in Jaisalmer, and a great base for experiencing The Golden City. Thanks to Shahid and the team 🙏

The rooftop view from the hotel is amazing, and the rooms were neat and clean. The food was delicious, the owner was welcoming and helpful, and every staff member we met was great and ready to assist. They also offer pick-up and drop services, which made things convenient. A wonderful stay, highly recommended!

I felt part of the family straight away. The team took such good care of me, and as a woman travelling alone I always felt safe and comfortable. The hotel has perfectly clean rooms, a lovely rooftop terrace, and freshly cooked, delicious food. The staff really are the best. I booked the non touristic desertsafari and had some of the best days of my life. We rode camels, cooked over a fire, watched the sunset, visited the ghost village and a small local village, then slept under the stars. I can’t recommend this hotel, Shahid, and the team enough. You’d be missing out if you didn’t stay here.

Shahid Ali, who is in charge, deserves special thanks. He was polite and professional, arranged everything smoothly, and went out of his way to make us comfortable. The staff were always ready to help with a smile, which kept our stay stress-free and enjoyable. The comfort and service were excellent, and I had one of my best stays in Jaisalmer. Strongly recommended if you’re looking for a great place to stay. 👍
