Having the hotel arrange a motorcycle pickup for our luggage at the fort entrance made a big difference. It’s a 10-15 minute walk over cobblestones and steep paths to get there, so contact them ahead of time. The little hotel is tucked well inside Jaisalmer's fort. We slept comfortably, and breakfast was included and decent. The rooftop was a nice place to eat. There are several pleasant rooms, including one with an outward-facing balcony where we could sit with chai and watch the sunset. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, which made the stay enjoyable.

Mr. Naveen was warm and polite throughout our stay. Since there were no other bookings that day, he kindly upgraded us from Standard to Super Deluxe at no extra cost. The room service staff also took our luggage to and from our vehicles without being asked. We stayed from 28-29 January on our first visit to Jaislamer, and the fort location made this excellent value for money. Our room had artistic decor, vintage figurines, colorful handicrafts, and a lovely fragrance. The mattresses were plush and bouncy, and there were warmers in the room. The balcony view was a bonus, and the in-house kitchen served fresh food at reasonable prices. It felt so homely we didn't want to go out. The bathroom was spotless and had toiletries, a hair dryer, and hot water around the clock, though it was cramped and the water drainage gave us some trouble.

We stayed three weeks in India, and Hotel Victoria was our favorite hotel experience. The staff and cook were lovely, especially Navin the manager, and nobody once asked us to leave a review. We ended up wanting to write one anyway because we didn't want to leave. The rooftop is spacious, the room and bathroom were clean, and the food was great for a fair price. We also appreciated the comfy bed and pillows, hot water that lasted through a shower without preheating, and electricity that stayed on when we left the room so we could charge devices. Breakfast had Indian and European choices, with seconds and thirds available. Tea and coffee, hot or iced, were good, free, and available all day.

The people here are amazing. They looked after us, helped carry our bags down to the fort entrance, and even invited us for tea on days we weren't staying there. The hotel sits inside the fort in a great spot, so you can explore when it's quieter. The rooms and views are lovely. I can't recommend it enough.

Navin made us feel very welcome, and we felt right at home. They met us at the fort gate and upgraded our room for free. The views are excellent, and we had the best breakfast so far. Pick this hotel if you want to stay in the fort.
