The Gulaal

We stayed with two other families and had a great time. The owners were welcoming and handled our requests with a smile, and the hospitality, rooms, and food were all great. The rooms had lovely aesthetics and UK compatible plugs. The rooftop restaurant was a delight, with good food and amazing views of Jaisalmer fort. I'll definitely come back, and this will be my first choice in Jaisalmer. Thanks again, team Gullal. Looking forward to visiting again.

It's about 2km from the main market, so we needed a riksha for everything. Nothing is really within walking distance, though the Jaisalmer fort is fairly close. The hotel itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with a story behind each piece. I'd recommend asking the owner about it. The staff were kind and attentive. Shibu in the kitchen and Baabu, the hotel manager, handled our requests quickly. We got a free upgrade to a huge, very clean suite with all the amenities you'd need. The bed is a bit tall by Indian standards, so it could be an issue for senior citizens. The chai was excellent. I had parantha for one meal, and it could have been better. The pool looked great, but I didn't get to use it. There's a gym too. I'd definitely recommend the hotel for a royal experience.

Hotel Gulaal has a special place in our hearts. Jaisalmer was the first stop on our trip to India, and getting used to culture shock and an 11.5 hour time change with our 9 and 12 year old was a lot. It was a wonderful place to land. My only regret is that we didn't stay a couple more days. Everyone made us feel like treasured guests, and the property is stunning, with thoughtful details in the common areas, rooms, and restaurant that make it feel unique. We arranged our "night in the stars" camel trek through the hotel, and it was fantastic. I can't recommend Hotel Gulaal highly enough.

Mr. Virendra Singh, the owner, was warm and welcoming and made sure guests felt at home. My family and I spent two days at the Heritage Haveli Hotel in Jaisalmer, and the whole stay was well managed and hassle-free. It has the charm of a traditional Rajasthani haveli along with modern comforts. Our room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, and cleanliness was excellent throughout. The staff were courteous and helpful, and made sure we were comfortable. The restaurant offered a good variety, and the food was delicious and well prepared. Highly recommended for families and anyone wanting a comfortable heritage stay in Jaisalmer.
