Saffron Hotel

Jalna has a nice new hotel here, and the rooms are good. Maintenance needs work, though. It seems they may be short on staff, and management doesn't appear very concerned. There's plenty of room to improve.

The building and facilities are good, and breakfast had plenty of tasty choices. We stayed two nights, but there was no Wi-Fi. When we raised it at the front desk, they gave several reasons and didn't seem interested in finding a fix. Since we were on a business trip, internet access was a basic need. Cleanliness and some aspects of hospitality could also be better.

The meal was a waste of both time and money. The food was tasteless and had no salt, and I can't understand how they served it without tasting it first. Before we even sat down, the dining area was a mess and we had to ask someone to clean it. Nobody seemed to notice us when we arrived. The service left me completely disappointed, and I'll think twice before returning for my CME or for lunch or dinner with friends and family.

We had what felt like a solid three-star stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff friendly, and the location handy for nearby attractions. Breakfast was good, Wi-Fi worked reliably, and the front desk was happy to answer our questions about the area. It's a practical, comfortable base for exploring the city on a budget, though it isn't luxurious.
