Baba Haveli Guest House

I was there for two days and stayed in two different rooms. Neither was up to standard, and the ground-floor rooms were particularly uncomfortable, with no windows in the room or toilet. At the high prices, the room quality and service were very poor. The rooms were filthy, with insects and spiders everywhere, dust on the bed and blankets, and extremely dirty toilets. Staff were rude and unhelpful, spoke disrespectfully, and showed no willingness to address concerns. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless cleanliness, staff behavior, and maintenance improve significantly.

From the terrace you can see the fort and the city, which was a good part of the stay. The washroom was okay, but the TV didn’t work. Some rooms are shaped like a pentagon, and the bed felt like it might break when I sat on it, so I worried about how it would hold up overnight. Getting inside was confusing too: from outside, it didn’t look like a hotel or guest house until we spotted and read the sign. The reception was dusty and smelly, and seemed empty. Going upstairs at least reassured us there were rooms and we hadn’t got lost. I stayed with family. For this budget, I’d say it’s neither good nor bad for bachelors.

They charged the full 800 no matter what time you checked in, but checkout was fixed at 10 AM the next day, with no 24-hour stay option. The room also had no TV or cable. Better to stay somewhere else.

This was my second time here. The staff were good-natured as usual, and everything else was great. The only issue was that there wasn’t an exhaust fan.
