The people who saved this stay were the kitchen team, housekeeping, and the receptionist on duty at 5:00 AM. They were polite, the room cleaning was spotless, and that receptionist was respectful. The rest of our experience was awful. I was already a repeat guest and told Vikrant I knew the rules, but the rude treatment kept going. We booked our first room through MakeMyTrip for 3,200. When a local male friend joined us briefly, we asked to pay the extra guest charge for that room. It allowed up to 3 adults, we said he wouldn't stay overnight, and we even offered to cover a full night's extra charge. Vikrant refused and kept snapping that it wouldn't be allowed. My friend eventually asked for a separate room, and we were made to pay 3,500 for it. We were privately comparing the MakeMyTrip price in Gujarati when Vikrant cut in to say breakfast was free in both rooms. We had paid 3,200 for one room and 3,500 for the other for a single night, and our train was at 6:00 AM, so we couldn't eat breakfast. He kept pushing the “free” point anyway. At reception, Vikrant warned us twice about charges for room items. The bellboy repeated the same warning aggressively in our room, as if he suspected us of stealing amenities, even though he'd heard Vikrant explain it already. Asking for a bottle opener was no easier. Vikrant didn't tell us it was behind the bathroom door and instead rudely told us to call room service on extension 444. The room costing 3,500 had maintenance problems too. The bathroom flush didn't work properly, and the main door was defective. It made a loud noise, stayed slightly open, and set off the open door alarm, which kept beeping. We had to open and close it 4-5 times to get it shut and locked. Vikrant's manner was a disgrace to hospitality. The other staff deserve 5 stars, but female groups and repeat travelers, plz avoid this place.

The rooms are decent and cleanliness was okay for a family, though they could be larger. Service was slow and mediocre, and staff weren't responsive. The food tasted good, but the buffet menu stayed the same for my whole stay and had very limited options. There was an extensive sweets and desserts selection, but it wasn't included in the MAP package and cost extra. Even a bottle of water brought an extra charge. There's a lot of room to improve the variety. Management also needs to communicate checkout properly. They can't simply tell customers checkout is at 10 am when that information isn't given. I've usually seen 11 am or noon.

The restaurant was very good, and the complimentary breakfast and dinner had plenty of options. The rooms were decent and well kept, with cleaning staff around during the day, and the front desk was helpful. It felt safe and secure. The hotel is a little pricey for the amenities, since there's no good parking space or swimming pool. Room service food was very expensive, so I'd avoid ordering it.

The banquet hall is spacious and well maintained, and the food gets lots of appreciation for its taste and variety. Staff have been professional, cooperative, and provided top-notch service each time. I've organized 3-4 events at Hotel Shri Ram Excellency and had an excellent experience every time. It's conveniently located on Residency Road opposite Dr. S. N. Medical College. Highly recommended for celebrations and events!

We spent 3 days at Hotel Shriram Excellency opposite SN Medical College on Residency Road, Jodhpur, and the stay was extremely disappointing. The tap in the washroom kept leaking and didn't work properly, and housekeeping fell short of basic cleanliness. The food was unsatisfactory too, below even minimum expectations. Guest comfort and hygiene were far below acceptable standards. Management needs to address maintenance, housekeeping, and food quality right away. I hope they take this feedback seriously so future guests don't face the same inconvenience.
