The Kothi Heritage

The food was fresh, delicious, and full of authentic flavours, and the staff were warm and helpful. cap. Raghunath deserves a special mention for making us feel so welcome. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well kept. With its elegant architecture and peaceful atmosphere, The Kothi Heritage felt like a step into a royal era. A lovely choice for couples, families, or anyone who enjoys heritage hotels. I’d happily visit again.

We stayed in the cheapest grade of room, so I can only speak for that one. We’re British tourists travelling around India. Staff were friendly, and the hotel felt safe, set back from the road. The dining room was clean. Breakfast was very good one morning and just good the next, though that comes down to personal taste. The room was cold, but the staff brought us a heater, which helped. It could have used a spring clean too. The bedroom itself was dark, with just one small window, and the sheets and pillowcases seemed overdue for replacement. The bathroom was clean and the shower stayed hot. Some of the electrics needed attention, including a loose bedside reading lamp with bare wires showing. There was a wooden partition to the adjoining room, so we could hear the other guests talking. On our second night they were noisy, which made it hard to sleep.

The location worked well for us, with Gypsy nearby for lunch or dinner and Jodhpur Sweets close by for local sweets. We also found the little boutique shop inside the property, run by the owner, worth a look. The items we bought there cost less than similar things in local markets. This is an old heritage villa converted into a hotel, so there’s no lift and you have to use the stairs. Staff helped carry our luggage, which made that easier. The villa’s architecture gives a real heritage feel, and the charm made up for the stairs. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the large washroom was clean with continuous hot water. Breakfast had a tasty range of dishes. We found the staff friendly and helpful, and the stay was comfortable. I’d recommend it for an authentic heritage experience, good food, and a central location.

The family-run hotel has large, spacious rooms, but the maintenance was a real letdown. We had problems with the hot water and no towels, and our room had no window. The shower sprayed in every direction. The refrigerator also stopped working whenever we left the room, which is a problem if you need to keep milk or medicine cold. The manager at breakfast was very nice and clearly tried hard, though maintenance there was poor too.
