Trulyy Rudransh Inn

We ended up going to another hotel for the two hours we had to wait for our train. We hadn’t planned to stay overnight, just have a bite and somewhere to sit, and we told reception we’d order rather than expect to sit for free. Instead, the receptionist and manager kept giving us judgemental looks. The manager asked if we’d come by local bus, and after we said yes, seemed to judge us for that too, as if we couldn’t afford the place. When we asked for lemon soda, he said it cost 236rs, called it quite expensive, and suggested we turn right outside to a small restaurant where it would be cheaper. We felt judged based on our appearance and because we’d taken a local bus from Jaisalmer to jodhpur. The place was a bit overpriced, but we would still have ordered there if we hadn’t been treated that way. Their attitude made us feel inferior, so we left.

The food was very nice, and the whole staff, including the manager, were well behaved and responsive. Their service speaks for itself. We really enjoyed our stay.

The main issue was the early morning bus noise, which could be disturbing. Otherwise, it’s a very nice hotel opposite the bus station, with large, comfortable rooms, friendly staff who focus on service, a good breakfast, and plenty of parking.

The location worked really well for us, right across from the main bus station. You can catch good quality AC Volvo buses to Udaipur there, too. We felt the place was worth what we paid and would definitely recommend it.
