Kovvuru Grand

The cafe had a pleasant feel, the food was nice, and the halls were kept in good shape. Service was decent and the surroundings were clean. Kovvuru Grand Hotel is a good option for a meal or an event.

The food tasted good, but the way Kovvur Grand Swaad Restaurant handled our visit left us disappointed. We’d called ahead specifically to ask if thali was available and were told yes. Once there, we were told it would take almost an hour, which wasted our time and was frustrating. We ordered the Non-Veg Maharaja Thali, but the staff didn’t explain what came with it or ask whether we wanted naan or roti. They seemed unsure about the menu. When we asked questions, the answers were often that they didn’t have or provide the item. Customers ordering something unfamiliar need staff who can clearly explain the options. They’d also promised a complimentary cake for celebrations, but what we got was just a small piece of cake, the kind you can buy anywhere. It didn’t feel like a celebration at all and left us let down. If they can’t provide what they promise, they shouldn’t advertise it. Good food by itself isn’t enough when service and communication are this poor. We spent money and left unsatisfied, and the careless, rude way customers were treated felt unacceptable. I hope the restaurant takes the feedback seriously and improves its service, staff’s menu knowledge, and customer experience.

The chicken biryani was a little better than the prawns version, but still not especially good. The prawns biryani didn’t taste as expected and lacked both spice and salt. I wasn’t satisfied with the food.

The rooms are okay, but the restaurant food was awful. The mutton smelled, the paneer wasn’t cooked, and every curry seemed to use the same gravy. There wasn’t even dal in the thali, and the workers had a lot of attitude. I’d give zero stars if I could. Don’t go there.
