Dream Nest Residency

The hosts made our three-night stay easy, upgrading our room and helping arrange onward travel. The room itself was spacious, too. You can hear the local mosque and temple around the area at different times of day, which does add to the atmosphere, I suppose. No need for a morning alarm. 🙂

We were travelling as a family with a child and stayed for three nights in a family double room with a balcony. Since we’d booked an earlier train, we needed to check in early, and they kindly let us. They made us feel at home, and being right in the city centre meant we had everything nearby.

The one thing that bothered me at night was light coming in from outside while I was trying to sleep. Dark curtains, or switching off the outside lights, might solve it. Otherwise, it was a really good stay: the place was clean, had a nice atmosphere, and the staff were friendly. It’s about 200-300 metres from Kalpetta bus stop, right in the middle of town, so food and other things are only a short walk away. There’s no restaurant, but the open kitchen lets you make tea, boil milk or cook Maggi, and use the fridge. I stayed in a family room during my Wayanad vacation and felt at home.

Muhammed Najivar and his father Abdul were humble, supportive hosts who helped us plan our tour. The rooms were neat and clean, and having a kitchen meant we could make tea or coffee how we liked. It was a comfortable, homely stay during our Wayanad visit. I’d stay here again next time.
