The evening folk dance and music gave the place a real desert feel, and we had a memorable time on the camel ride and jeep safari. The traditional Rajasthani dishes were especially tasty too. Malra Heritage Camp Sam is in a beautiful spot near the Sam Sand Dunes, with lovely sunset views. Our tent was clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout. A great choice for an authentic desert camp stay with family or friends.

The other services were great, but the dance was a bit boring. The dancers seemed untrained and not very joyful. If you choose this camp, keep your expectations modest. My friend and I were the only foreigners there, with everyone else and the activities being local.

The jeep and camel safaris arranged by the property were good, and we liked the dinner and hi-tea. The evening cultural show didn't live up to the hype, though. The location is good and the tent is spacious, but cleanliness was a problem. The bed and comforter weren't clean, and even after we told them, nothing was done. They also didn't provide a lock for the tent door.

The camel ride is a must try. We got just five minutes of the exciting jeep ride, though, and I wish it had been more adventurous and lasted longer than 15 minutes. Still, try everything. Good experience overall.

The tent we found on arrival was completely different from the one shown in the photos, and the food quality was below average. The cultural program also wasn't suitable for watching with family. The stay was a very bad experience and didn't meet the expected standard.
