I spent nearly a month at Status Business Club Hotel, Kanpur, and the housekeeping kept my room clean, neat, and comfortable every day. The meals were tasty and fresh, with a good choice at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the restaurant staff were courteous and attentive. Aman, Rudra, and Yaman at reception were especially helpful whenever I needed something. The whole reception team was welcoming and professional, and their prompt, friendly service made me feel looked after during the long stay. The hotel brought together comfort, cleanliness, good food, and warm hospitality throughout my visit. I’d gladly return, and would recommend it to business or leisure travelers coming to Kanpur.

For a short business trip, this is a good hotel. It’s centrally placed in Naveen Market, where you can find everyday needs like food and clothing.

There’s no parking, and the hotel looked nothing like its photos. The rooms have no ventilation, and the pictures are misleading about what the place is really like. They say breakfast is included, but you’re only allowed one dish, which was two small pieces of bread. You can’t have more, and they don’t tell you this up front. It feels like daylight robbery. The rates are high, but the service doesn’t match.

My toddler was charged for milk, which seemed like a cheap gesture. I’ve never had that happen at a hotel in India or abroad, since milk is complimentary for kids. The room also didn’t match the hotel team’s pictures. It was dirty, with spider webs all around the bed and lots of mosquitoes.
