The Gopi Nivas Grand

The food was good, but the rooms were dirty and the service was awful. There was no intercom to reach reception, and nobody answered the 24/7 helpline. I had to go down myself to ask someone to clean the room. When he came, he said it was already clean and that the dust was from the furniture wood falling apart. I'd recommend paying a little more for a hotel with better service.

We found the rooms clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the food was delicious. Restaurant service was prompt too. Getting around was easy, with the Vivekananda Rock Memorial Ferry, Sunrise Point, and main temples all a short walk away. The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, were warm and professional, and always ready to help with a smile. I have no complaints about our stay at The Gopinivas Grand in Kanyakumari and highly recommend it. It was great value and a five-star experience.

The stay was calm and comfortable, and the location was convenient. Staff were courteous and helpful, and check-in and checkout were both easy. Our room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with the necessary amenities. Housekeeping did a good job and hygiene was impressive. Great value for money. I'd happily stay here again and recommend it.

The only real plus is how close it is to the sunrise viewpoint and ferry. There’s no parking, so we had to look for a spot on the street, which was difficult. The room was old, in poor condition, and not worth the ₹3,500 we paid. It had no windows, and there was no Airtel network inside, although the signal was fine outdoors. We also found bed bugs. The TV was poor quality and didn’t work, and the bathroom and toilet were badly maintained. They didn’t provide a basic dental kit, and room service didn’t respond. At 9:30 PM, the restaurant had no tea or coffee. The photos on booking sites are outdated and don’t show what the rooms are actually like. This was the worst stay I’ve had with my family.
