Hotel Katra Grand

The restaurant was a problem too. Because the hotel has one, they don’t allow outside food, but the restaurant was very third-rate and smelled bad. The room was in very poor, unhygienic condition, and I’d give below zero for cleanliness, amenities, and the bathroom. They list Wi-Fi and TV, but none of it was working, so the kids missed out on the enjoyment. The essentials, including toothbrushes and soap, were missing, and there were broken fixtures. This was a terrible experience with poor hygiene, unsafe conditions, and abysmal service. They claim a high three-star rating, but I can’t recommend staying here at all.

I was considering booking this place, but reading the reviews put me off. In the low-rated reviews, people mention rude staff and unprofessional behavior. The hotel never seems to say it will look into the complaints or train the staff. Instead, it calls every low-rated review fake and tells people to book Taj hotel. That kind of response itself seems very unprofessional. They often reply that the customer checked in at 6 a.m., but how could all those low-rated guests have checked in at 6? Note: I didn’t book this property. Don’t rely on the star rating, since posting a review is mandatory.

It’s within walking distance of the railway station, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food is decent and reasonably priced. There isn’t much open space, though.

Kuldeep ji, the hotel receptionist and manager, was especially cooperative. The room cleanliness, staff behavior, and food quality were all very excellent. I think this is one of the best hotels for service in every way. Recommended anytime.
