The food was delicious, and everything was managed well. Staff were very polite and helpful, the rooms comfortable and clean, and the service top class. The location works well for families, too. It was a memorable stay, and I’d love to come back. Highly recommend it.

Our bags were left at reception before the Vaishno Devi Yatra, since our room booking was for after we returned. When we got back, the lock PIN had been changed and it looked like someone had tried to open the bags. Nothing was missing, thankfully, but staff tampering with luggage would be a serious security concern in any hotel. We also had frequent power cuts without proper backup, even though nearby hotels and restaurants still had electricity. The next day, nobody responded to our requests and basic room service wasn’t provided. I’m very disappointed with Hotel Royal Stay in Katra, and hope management takes the service, security, and guest support issues seriously.
