The place has beautiful art and décor, and the whole atmosphere feels warm and homely. The owner was kind and humble, kept asking for feedback on the food, and made sure guests were comfortable. It really shows why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. If you like a local, cultural, home-like feel, this stay is worth experiencing.

We were four people sharing a small room, with a bed that only fit two adults. We had to cook for ourselves, and only some groceries were supplied. Water and toilet arrangements were very poor: there was just one bucket of water for all four of us, and tissues were provided instead of water, which we weren’t comfortable with. The heater cost extra and came with lots of restrictions. Overall, the basic facilities and comfort were below average.

Mr Rajesh made sure our needs were taken care of, and we felt right at home. We had a wonderful time with the family, enjoyed the home-cooked meals, and loved the nearby sightseeing spots. I’d recommend staying here with family or friends for that homely feeling.

We’ve stayed in hotels and homestays all over the world, and Buddha Homestay in Kaza was a rare place where we felt safe and well cared for. It’s right in town, handy for the market, wine shop, and vegetable shop. Our room was spacious, clean, and newly furnished, with plenty of cozy blankets, pillows, and places to sit. The electric geyser gave us reliable hot water after days out exploring the mountains of Himachal Pradesh. There were five international charging points in the room, plus a kettle, cups, and glasses, which was handy for us as digital nomads. Prices were competitive with nearby hotels. It’s best to book directly, and the food was affordable with generous portions, cheaper than most local options. The hosts were flexible and accommodating throughout our stay. We’d recommend Buddha Homestay for a comfortable, lively, budget-friendly stay in Kaza.

Not good at all. They only had Maggi, and there was no water. I wouldn't recommend it. A car can't reach all the way to the stay.
