The greenery around Club Mahindra Gir gives the property a peaceful, close-to-nature feel. The staff were polite and genuinely tried to help, and the resort itself is nice. Still, the food felt quite expensive for the experience. Our room had a noticeable bad smell. Staff tried to freshen it, but the odor remained, which was a deal breaker for us, especially with family along. Better room upkeep and more reasonable dining prices would make the stay much better.

Club Mahindra Gir is spacious, green, and peaceful. It’s a little far from the main areas, but the quiet makes up for that. The food was excellent, staff around the resort were courteous and helpful, and the swimming pool and other amenities were good. What really let me down was how my driver was treated. He asked for a blanket for the night and was initially refused one. It was extremely cold, so he had a very uncomfortable night. I raised it with the staff, who assured me they’d provide a blanket, but the next day my driver said he still hadn’t received one. A resort at this level should take basic hospitality for drivers seriously, since they’re an important part of a guest’s travel experience. The stay was good overall, but I hope Club Mahindra Gir improves its support for drivers.

Breakfast was my favorite meal, at 10/10. I’d rate the Indian food 8/10, continental food 6/10, and pizzas 4/10. The food is exorbitantly priced, though, and management may want to rethink that. I was in Room 301 and my family stayed in Room 302. Both rooms and washrooms were clean and generally well maintained, but Room 301’s washroom had a noticeable drain smell that wasn’t present in Room 302. The AC and fans worked properly. Netflix on the TV didn’t work, though Airtel Digital TV did. The staff were friendly and professionally dressed, though not especially well dressed, and service wasn’t always quite on point. Even so, it was a comfortable, pleasant stay with a few things to improve.

A good place to stay in Sasan Gir. The property was nice, the food was good, and all the staff gave really great service. I especially liked that they had indoor and outdoor games, plus music, for people of different ages.

We were the last guests to check out before the renovation. Even with limited food choices, everything they served was delicious, and my parents were comfortable. We had a very pleasant stay and left happy. Thanks to all the staff for looking after us with the options they had. See you after the upgrade, and thanks for the memories.
