The location is good, the room was neat and clean, and the food was good. What spoiled the visit was the rude treatment at reception. I checked in late, at 7pm, and asked whether I could check out at 4pm. The receptionist agreed, saying they had a 24-hour checkout policy, so I made plans and stayed on. An hour later, after the receptionist had changed, I got a call saying I’d overstayed and had to pay another 1800. I explained that the earlier receptionist had agreed, but it made no difference. They said the hotel was overbooked and I had 15 minutes to leave or be charged 1800rs. I left within the 15 minutes, but the whole thing left me very disappointed with the staff and the customer experience.

I liked my stay at hotel Dewland land enough to plan a return visit. The room was clean and everything felt quiet and welcoming. Ms.Renjini SR, the manager, was especially helpful and courteous, replying quickly and acting promptly when we needed something. The staff made sure things went smoothly, and check-in and check-out were easy. A reliable choice for a comfortable stay.

After checking in at midnight, my family and I went out the next morning and came back to find that the hotel had vacated our room without our consent. Staff had handled all our belongings, and nobody had notified us. We had booked through MakeMyTrip for April 2nd and 3rd, and had confirmed the 24-hour check-in/out policy several times by phone. Management showed no integrity about that agreement. Their attitude changed once the booking was secured, and online guests seemed to be treated as second-class customers. I strongly advise travelers to avoid Dewland Kochi Kodanad. Save your money and peace of mind, and book somewhere that honors its agreements.

The property would have been a five out of five for me if not for the pool. It was terrible, and I think anyone who gets in could end up with some kind of skin disease. Breakfast was another issue. It’s included, but there wasn’t enough, and whenever you ask for more, you have to wait. Apart from those problems, I’d rate the property five out of five.

This was my second staycation here, and I was satisfied with the service all the way from check-in through checkout. The food was good too, and the rooms were very clean. I’d recommend it to people I know.
