Native Stories Kohima by Goroomgo

From the terrace, the sunrise over the valley was lovely. We stayed during the Hornbill festival, and the homestay is right on the main road, within walking distance of the heritage village. There’s also a free government shuttle from nearby. The owners were so kind and friendly, and the food was worth more than five stars. Their helpfulness really made an impression on me. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Nesato and his sister were kind enough to show us around and help us out, almost like guides. The property has a gorgeous view, with pine trees and mountains all around, and it’s close to the Hornbill festival as well as treks such as Pulibadze and Dzouko Valley. They also have dogs and cats. A really nice homestay.

The food was so scrumptious, especially the vegetarian dishes. I’m already missing them. The host and his lovely wife were friendly and down to earth, and the room was tidy, with hot and drinking water always available. The location is convenient, with shops nearby and local taxis easy to find. The host can also put you in touch with taxi drivers if needed. Thanks to the hosts, you’re doing a great job. I’d recommend Native Stories.

We first planned to stay just one night, but the welcoming hosts made it such a pleasant experience. The place was calm and clean, and the food was good. It’s a handy base for visiting Dzukou valley or exploring the area, and the charges are quite reasonable. The owner can arrange local taxis to suit your needs too.
