The Iora Retreat

The Assamese restaurant was very good, and we also liked the multi-cuisine restaurant. Food and service were good, and the rooms were large, spacious, and well maintained. One of our group got sick, and although checkout was at 12, they let him stay in a guest room until evening, which was a thoughtful gesture. They didn't have a thermometer, though, which seems like a basic thing for a property to keep. They also charge for extra bottles of water. A nice place to stay while in kaziranga.

What I'll remember most from our visit to Kaziranga is the warmth from Suhana and Riddhima. They noticed little things we needed and helped with care and genuine attention. Their smiles and the way they connected with guests felt kind and respectful, never mechanical or forced. People may forget luxury, but they remember how they were treated. Thank you, Suhana and Riddhima, for making the stay memorable with such heartfelt hospitality. The food was delicious and the service was excellent too.

We had a wonderful stay at IORA, with clean, hygienic rooms and a well-kept resort not far from Main road. It's one of the oldest resort properties in kaziranga, and the large grounds have a nice look, a game room, pool, spa, and other activities. The food was good both at the buffet and ala carté, and bhatbaan serves local Assamese cuisine. There's plenty of space for conferences, bonfires, and other custom activities. The staff were polite, responsive, accommodating, and well trained. They can arrange safari bookings too, just contact them a day ahead. Great experience, highly recommended, and thanks for making our stay so good.

The Assamese thali at Bhatban was average, though the restaurant had a nice ambience. The grounds are well landscaped, with lovely flowers and plants, and there's a pool, restaurants, and a bar, so everything is available on the property. Overall, it's a good place for a relaxed stay.
