Breakfast was very good, and the kitchen team and room service staff were the bright spots. Room service was prompt, and the staff said I could order things that weren't on the menu. The hotel itself, though, was in extremely poor condition. The water pressure was almost nonexistent. I tried several times to explain it, but staff at first wouldn't believe me. I took them to three rooms and showed them the difference before they accepted there was a problem. Their answer was basically, “it is what it is,” which left me feeling dismissed, as if I had imagined it. That was my first impression of the place. There were cockroaches in the bathroom, but after that exchange I didn't report them because I expected the complaint to be brushed off too. The washbasin was clogged as well, and water wouldn't drain after I brushed my teeth. Aside from the good breakfast and prompt room service, the hotel's condition and staff attitude fell well below a reasonable standard. It was a very unsatisfactory stay.

The room was tidy, reasonably spacious, and had the basic facilities. The bedding was clean, and housekeeping seemed to keep the room in good shape. The property felt calm and organized, a pleasant place to rest after a long trip or busy day, and its lighting and general upkeep made a good impression. Getting there was easy, with convenient connections to nearby roads and important places around the city. Check-in was quick, and the staff were polite, cooperative, and helpful with the process. I found it a comfortable stay with decent service and a handy location, a simple and reliable choice for visitors.

The food is the reason to come here. I had the Kolhapuri thali, and it was rich, spicy, and full of local flavor. The mutton was cooked just right, the rassa had a good balance of heat, and the bhakri was soft and fresh. The vegetarian dishes were tasty too. Portions are generous, everything tasted fresh, and the quality seemed consistent. They stick to traditional flavors instead of over-commercializing the food. Hotel Rasika has a warm, clean, welcoming feel, with quick, polite service. The staff were happy to help when I wasn't sure what to order. If you're in Kolhapur for authentic Kolhapuri food, Hotel Rasika is worth a visit. I'd come back.

This has become my regular place in Kolhapur. I've stayed here almost five times now. It's about 3 kms from Pune Bangalore Highway, outside the city, with good food and service. They also have an EV Charger.

The staff are supportive, the location is great, and there's plenty of parking. Rooms are well maintained too, though the paint is peeling off the walls and could use some attention.
