Vista Rooms at Shivaji Park

We were in town for a friend’s wedding, and the hotel’s open spaces, decorated banquet hall, and event arrangements made it convenient for a large group. The atmosphere was welcoming and festive, and parking was adequate. The management seemed experienced at running wedding functions. The location and overall setting were the best parts. The rooms were spacious, neat and comfortable, with the basic amenities you’d expect. The surroundings were clean and well maintained, check-in went smoothly, and reception staff were polite and quick to help. Housekeeping also kept things tidy throughout our stay. Food was the main letdown. The presentation was decent, but some dishes were bland and the selection could have been better. Breakfast was average, with limited choices and inconsistent quality. It’s a comfortable place for an event or family function, with good service and clean rooms, but the food needs work. My overall rating was 3.8/5.

The restaurant had so many mosquitoes that we had to eat while being bitten. We complained before the meal and were told someone was being sent for a mosquito coil, but it never arrived. An hour later, we found plenty of mosquitoes in the room too. When we asked for a liquid vaporizer, they said they only had a mosquito mat and brought it right away. I hadn’t seen that kind of machine in nearly 20 years, so it was surprising they still use it. The room was a bad fit for three adults: it had two adult beds and one child’s bed. Do they expect a grown adult to sleep in that? Service was slow, though the food was okay.

The staff treated us terribly. Even after we asked politely, they wouldn’t let the woman use the washroom because our room wasn’t booked at their hotel. They showed no decency at all. The worst hotel.

The banquet hall had plenty of room for both the event and dining, and guests could move around comfortably. Seating, stage, and activity areas were thoughtfully arranged for the number of attendees. The birthday decorations were bright and suited the occasion, and the menu got positive responses from the families. Planning and coordination went smoothly.
