Central Guest House

Please, please don’t stay at this hotel. It was the worst hotel experience of my life, and the problems I’ve listed are genuine. You can go and check for yourself if you don’t believe me. I checked in at night and they charged me double the usual price. They also charge people from other states double and have higher prices for them. The rooms are very tiny and cramped, and it’s not at all good for lower-income or labor-class people either. The staff and owner are nonsense people. The staff forcefully take tips of 100 rupees, serve the worst kind of food at a higher price, and the staff forcefully take tips. The water from the tap is mainly contaminated. Water comes out from the bathroom, which starts vibrating after 30mins, and the bathroom stinks like drainage. The floors are broken, the windows don’t open, and the room ceiling’s color is completely faded. The room looks like a drainage area and is an old 90s room with no renovation. The AC doesn’t work properly, and the old model fan makes so much noise.

There was a lot of road noise, so sleeping might be a little uncomfortable. Still, it was good, not bad, and people can manage there. The room had a bed, tea table, single-seater chair and a TV that didn’t work, plus a bathroom geyser. It also had an old box AC, which you don’t see everywhere 🤣. Room service is available, and they collect money to get whatever you need.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, and breakfast is nice with plenty of diverse options. This lovely heritage hotel has good infrastructure, well-maintained rooms and excellent service.

The management was rude and uncooperative, and made personal comments about women’s attire. Customer service was laughable. The toilets were disgusting, water supply was lacking, and the geyser didn’t work. The AC barely worked, and they would turn it off without notice. The TV remote barely worked too, and the flushes and hand showers were faulty. A learning experience. I’ll always check reviews before going into a hotel!
