The receptionist at Gokul Residency drove us out after we questioned a price change and asked to pay through the OYO app. I had booked two separate rooms for myself, Soumi Roy, and Supriya Roy through Oyo for Rs 979 on 7/09/2024. The hotel listing was Hotels | 375, Super Collection O 74257 Gokul Residency Near Emami City Dumdum Opposite Raja Palace, 1, Jessore Rd, Nagerbazar, Dum Dum. At check-in, the receptionist asked for documents, which I provided. When I went to pay in the OYO app to get the discount, she stopped me. After I gave the booking ID, the price automatically rose from 979 to 1079. I realized it was a scam and asked why I should pay extra. She refused, rebuked me, used slang, spoke harshly, disgraced us, and forced us out. We had wanted to take the matter to the media, but time was short, so we left under pressure. It was a terrible experience. You can check the Google reviews if you think I'm misleading anyone. Take action immediately and fire the receptionist, or there will be losses and damage to goodwill.

After checkout, OYO customer care confirmed that the property had changed my booking before I reached the hotel. They tried to set the price to 1000rs, then changed it back to 451rs. The property is cheating new customers: staff showed us a fake booking price on their screen. When I started calling OYO care, the receptionist changed his story and said it had now been updated and was a technical issue.
