The location is convenient near the city centre, though the surrounding area didn't feel very welcoming, especially at night. We didn't feel like going out then, so be careful if you stay here. There are Chinese and fast food places nearby, but we couldn't eat that every day, and there was no room service or functional kitchen, so we had to go out each day to find food. Our room smelled bad and had no ventilation, which meant keeping the AC on all day. The bathroom had no exhaust, and one day we didn't get hot water. Breakfast was poor, just puri and daal, which felt like an odd pairing. Service wasn't great either. When the key card failed, staff said we were tapping it wrong without checking whether it worked. The room was kept neat, which is why I gave it 3 stars, but it wasn't as clean as it should have been. The curtains didn't work, and the Wi-Fi stopped randomly. For the amount charged, these problems were disappointing.

We could walk to the metro and local markets from this spot right in the city's hub. At dinner, the Bengali fish curry at the in-house restaurant was delicious and had a home-cooked feel. Our arrival was lovely. The front desk staff, especially Danish, really lived up to what I'd read in other reviews. He's a wonderful person, and I hope he goes far in life. God bless him. They also let us check in early.

Danish at the front desk and Mr. Rakesh Mullick were especially warm and attentive, and their professionalism made the stay memorable. I was comfortable in the rooms at Dee Empresa, and the hospitality was excellent.

For one night it was okay, but I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay. The room felt cramped, the walls were thin enough for street and neighboring-room noise to come through, and breakfast was average at best. The city-centre location was perfect, close to everything, and the staff stayed friendly and helpful throughout.

In the standard room I booked, the AC was in bad shape and dripping, though it still worked. The bathroom sink was broken, the towels were torn in places, and some switches and fixtures didn't work. This place is very poorly maintained. I wouldn't recommend these rooms.
