I booked through Fab Hotel for 31st dec at INR 1200, but when I arrived they refused the booking, saying the rate was too low. They asked me to pay another 1600 INR separately, and with no other option, I had to agree. The room wasn't maintained either. Worst hotel experience.

Check-in was the worst I've ever faced. The manager had already been using the room when I arrived, and there was no telephone line in my room. The service was awful, and they overcharged for water that was supposed to be complimentary: Rs 25 per bottle, even for local water.

It's a small hotel with basic facilities, so don't expect much luxury. The staff, though, are warm and welcoming.

The stay was fabulous for the price, and the staff were polite and quick. Best in NEWTOWN KOLKATA 😍🤩

The owner kept the money I had paid even after the booking was cancelled. The place itself was awful, with hygiene, staff behaviour, and room ambience all at 0/10.
