Inspirasun Kalighat by OYO Rooms

The staff were very good, and the location was nice. If you want a budget stay, this is a good choice. The nearby area gives you a feel for real Kolkata. I spent two memorable days here with friends, and the complimentary breakfast was quite nice. The bathrooms could use improvement, though. I loved staying here.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and both of our rooms were very good, with clean washrooms and a balcony. There's also a separate meeting room. The staff were cordial, accepting, and very helpful. The only issue was that they didn't provide an extra mattress. The hotel's food was very good, and one meal was enough for one person. The locality was good too, with Kalighat metro about a 5-minute walk away, Lake mall close by, and Dakshineshwari Kali Mandir within walking distance.

It's a very basic place, but central: about a 5-minute walk from the metro and 2 minutes from a large shopping mall and local market. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet. The bathroom was clean, though we had to ask for the bedsheets and other linen to be changed. The staff were warm and very helpful, especially the man at the reception desk.

The area is lovely, and the place was easy to find. It's an old building that's been renovated, and the service was good, with courteous staff and nice behavior. Food orders can take a while, so keep that in mind. I liked the service overall, and they allow outside visitors.
