I wouldn't recommend this hotel, and I'd be wary of the reviews. They can change or manipulate ratings, but the place itself needs to change. When I asked for normal water, I saw staff filling a Kinley plastic bottle with tap water, so I refused it. I also called reception to say I needed the toilet and asked them to clean after a few minutes, but someone still knocked at the door. On my first night, I ordered dinner from their menu and they didn't know what dal fry was. I had to argue and explain the difference between dal tadka and dal fry. The cook admitted they shouldn't list it because they don't follow the proper recipe. At check-in, they said there were no rooms left and told me to take one next door. I refused because it was right beside reception on the second floor. They said I could leave if I didn't like it. I was shocked, but luckily I got a room. I'm nearly six feet tall, and it felt about 2x2.

The staff behaved very badly, and they were all drinking heavily at the hotel. It didn't feel safe.

The rooms were cramped, and cockroaches were wandering around. The receptionist wasn't friendly and spoke with an attitude. When I asked for soap and water in the morning, they said service starts at 10 am. So was I supposed to kill the cockroaches in my room until then?

I've stayed in many hotels in Kolkata, but this was the most pathetic experience I've had. Cockroaches were all over the room, the commode was broken, and the room was so small it wasn't worth even ₹300. When I asked for tea, it took the staff an hour and a half to bring it. Honestly, you'd be better off on the street than in this hotel. Please don't waste your money here. I'm really disappointed.
