OYO 1058 Hotel Royal Garden

My recent stay at Hotel Royal Garden, Kolkata was disappointing. The manager and other staff were extremely rude and unprofessional, with unpleasant behavior and no basic customer service etiquette. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that the service standards improve.

The TV in my room didn’t work, which was frustrating after a long day on the road. More concerning, though, was how unclean everything felt. The bedsheets looked stained and possibly unwashed, and the dusty surfaces and neglected bathroom made it hard to get comfortable. With the hygiene problems and a basic amenity out of order, I can’t recommend staying here. I’d look for somewhere that takes cleanliness and guest comfort more seriously.

What else is there to say? There was no water, the AC didn’t work, and cleaning was basically nonexistent. The staff were especially rude to people who booked through apps or websites at a lower price. One woman on staff was extremely rude. I won’t mention her name.

It might work for a short stay for couples, but the grumpy staff and cockroaches were hard to overlook. The place also felt pretty unclean, the location isn’t great, and the prices don’t feel competitive for what you get.
