Fabhotel Suncitel

There’s barely anything in the room beyond a bed, shower and a few charging points. It’s very small, nowhere near half the size shown in the pictures, and there’s no kettle or tea or coffee. Apart from soap, they provided no toiletries. There were loads of mosquitoes, and the hygiene wasn’t okay either. I was really surprised to see a fabhotel being run this way.

I only stayed a few hours because I had an early flight. The hotel is very close to the airport, and the staff were helpful with what I needed. My room was spacious, clean and nicely lit, with a desk for work or study. The bathroom was clean too, and the service was good. It was a short stay, but a nice experience.

I couldn’t sleep because traffic was so heavy late into the night, and the room felt like it was right in the middle of the street. The walls seemed so thin, and even the bed shook from the traffic jam while I was trying to sleep. When I mentioned it, the receptionist boy told me it was a premium room. In the morning I asked for a Dental Kit and was told they had nothing like that. Earlier, when I pulled the table out to work on my laptop, there were 20 cockroaches on it. The place is old and run down, and feels dangerous to stay in. It shouldn’t be offered to travellers. The hotel had used pictures from other star hotels, so don’t fall for the sham. Avoid it at all costs.

The room was neat, clean, well maintained and excellent. The manager at the counter, though, was extremely rude, arrogant and rough in his manner. That’s why I’m giving the hotel one star. The beds also shake all the time when heavy trucks and buses pass, so sleeping here gives you an earthquake kind of feeling. If you’re okay with an impolite manager and that shaking, go ahead and book.
