OYO 1220 Casa Broadway

This is a basic, budget place with a homely feel, where rooms have been made out of a bungalow. My room was spacious, and the in-house staff cook homely food. There's a geyser in the bathroom for hot water. The facilities are bare basic, but it was still better than other budget hotels I've stayed in. Could be worth trying if money is tight.

I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. The people in charge were unbelievably annoying and stupid, and seemed deliberately rude. Even in just one night, I ran out of patience. Their forms ask for far more details than other guesthouses and they're very particular about it. None of that seemed relevant to the stay, but I put up with it. There were three of us using two rooms, yet they wouldn't let us spend time together in the same room. They also never gave us the key to one room. We were tired and didn't argue at the time, but at checkout they held us up for half an hour because they couldn't find the key they hadn't handed over. Then one of them came over and accused me of locking a different door, which had nothing to do with me.

The photos in the Oyo app bear no resemblance to the actual place. Service was poor. We checked in very late, but they still hadn't cleaned the room beforehand. The AC didn't work at all, and the bathroom was dirty. They also left the old dustbin there instead of replacing it.

Google's information is wrong. This place is closed as an OYO, though they still run it independently. I tried repeatedly but couldn't book through OYO. Please remove the listing from Google. It says permanently closed, and the multiple listings there confused me.
