The rooms are a good size and clean, but getting there means walking about 17-18 minutes from the Kalikapur stop on EM Bypass, through narrow lanes. The main issue is that they don't allow outside food, especially deliveries ordered online. Other OYOs in the area do allow delivery. They told me it's because they have their own kitchen, but they don't actually have one. They get food from a restaurant, and it feels like a way to earn commissions. Only two or three rooms have joined double beds; the rest have separate double beds. When we checked in, they gave us one towel for two people. They didn't pay attention when we asked for another, and I had to ask three times before they brought one. Is two towels for two people really such a big ask?

I booked through OYO and paid in the app before checking in. The owner acted like an ill-mannered man, shouting and ordering me to cancel the booking, ask OYO for a refund, and pay him in cash instead. He said OYO wasn't paying him, so he wanted cash. It was late, and I was drunk and tired, so I went along with it and checked in rather than argue. I did not cancel through OYO, and I checked out the next morning. Later, the owner called my number and threatened me over the cash payment. I refused and told him I would file a police complaint. This is his modus operandi, as I see it: he gets customers through OYO, asks them to cancel, then collects cash from them.

It's a quiet, quaint place to stay, good for a little time in peace, and about 7 minutes from Avishikta. Service was prompt and the staff courteous. You can order food and drinks from outside or from the in-house pantry, which is the better option. The owner was very willing to help and guide us. A memorable stay, in short, and I recommend a visit. Unmarried couples are allowed, but each person has to show ID.

It felt like home, with a good ambiance, clean washroom, and budget-friendly rates. Outside food isn't allowed. It's a good deal for couples and corporates, and unmarried couples are allowed without questions. The owner behaved very well. Hope to come back. Thumbs up.
