OYO 22564 The Coco Inn

Bugs were everywhere, the customer service was awful, and I didn't like anything about the place. I was charged a 1000rs penalty for celebrating my birthday in the room at 7pm. When I asked for a receipt, they refused. The person wrote “decoration charge” three times before finally writing why they were taking the money. There was no fixed rate chart or terms and conditions, and it felt like they'd charge whatever they wanted. Don't waste your money here.

The linens and pillow were dirty, and the experience was awful. They don't honor confirmed online bookings: once you arrive, they say they don't take online bookings and demand full payment again. The hotel is in an odd location with no nearby hotels, which makes this feel like a trap. It seems they use online platforms to draw people in and then loot them. I won't use abusive language, though they deserve it. Don't book or go there.

The room was quite small for the price, though the other facilities were okay. Room service was good, and both the food quality and quantity were good. I booked directly at the hotel after staff told me their OYO tie-up had ended because of pending payment, so I had to cancel my prepaid OYO booking. Apart from the trouble with OYO, the stay was satisfactory.

The rooms are a decent size and have good amenities, but they're dirty and weren't cleaned properly between guests. The sheets were dirty, the pillowcases and blankets stained, and the bathroom very dirty. There was litter under the beds, and the top floor corridor had garbage bags and leftover guest plates. The location pin on Google Maps was wrong, the main gate was locked, and it took me a while to find the side entrance. They advertised complimentary breakfast, yet at 10 am all the staff were asleep in the lobby and restaurant.
