Oyo 81663 Royal Regency

Water was dripping from the room ceiling, and the AC didn't work. On top of that, the hotel only let me check in after I paid double the online booking price, with the actual amount hidden until I arrived. They should have told me about any extra charge in the app. I couldn't cancel for free because that option expired the day before. A really pathetic way to do business, and my first such bad experience on OYO.

At 1am, then again at 5am, someone rang my room bell while I was staying alone. I called for the manager or caretaker, but nobody was available, which felt like a serious safety issue. They also refused to show me the CCTV footage the next morning. The place looked nothing like the app photos, with a dingy entrance, shady interior, no front desk and pathetic service. We had booked three AC rooms for a two-day business trip, but none of the ACs worked. Breakfast was included and we'd paid in full, yet we checked out the next morning. Depressing experience, waste of money. I wouldn't recommend it, and places like this should be blacklisted.

The room felt cramped, with no ventilation, and the AC wasn't working properly. They still wouldn't move us. The bathroom smelled awful; only after we asked three or four times did they clean it properly. It wasn't clean to begin with, and they refused our request to clean it or change rooms. At first they gave us a larger room, then suddenly said it had been given by mistake and changed it. The food wasn't up to standard either. We ordered chicken tadka, but it came with two huge pieces of chicken. Pathetic experience.

The staff played loud music, and people kept ringing our room bell in the morning. Apparently they had put us in a staff room. We also changed rooms twice in three days. The staff were giving rooms by the hour to their friends, and there was shady activity going on. A fraud, not a good place.
