OYO Flagship 70131 Diamond Regency

I paid 1,598 rupees in advance through the OYO app, but at check-in they demanded an extra 4,000 for me to stay and otherwise refused to let me in. They put low prices on OYO, then somehow change the bill and ask guests for more. I don’t know how they do it, but my experience was terrible. They’re scamming people. Please don’t book here.

The property manager denied to my face that they had received my money. I was connected to him by phone after I tried to get a refund or action against the owner from customer care. I’d supplied proof of payment and pointed to all these customer reviews, but OYO seemed to take no action, and didn’t refund me either. I’d paid 600 rupees on the OYO app, then they extorted another 1,300 when I arrived and asked me to send it to a personal UPI ID. Somehow the app also showed that I owed 1,300 more. Wow, what a level of fraud. Don’t go here.

I booked through an OYO phone call and hadn’t seen the reviews. Even though I’d called the owner around 8 p.m. to confirm that day and told him we’d arrive late, my sister, mother, and I were left waiting outside at 11 p.m. The owner pressured me to book at the walk-in rate, saying they didn’t accept OYO bookings after 9 p.m. OYO suggested another hotel when I called, then later cancelled the booking. I keep hearing this kind of feedback about OYO lately. This was a very bad experience.

Oyo charged me a 108 rupee booking fee, then wouldn’t respond to the problem or refund my money. The hotel had been booked for 600 rupees, but the reception wanted 1,500 when I arrived. I also got there at 10 a.m. because of my train, and they insisted I wait until noon to check in. A disappointing, inconvenient stay from beginning to end.
