One of the worst hotels in Kolkata. They refused to check us in because we didn’t have a marriage certificate. We even offered to show our wedding photos, but they still turned us away. Rupkotha, the front desk receptionist, was the worst. She didn’t know how to speak to guests and laughed, seeming to enjoy that we didn’t have the certificate. If the hotel owner sees this, your hotel is doomed if your employees don’t have basic manners.

I’m in room 206, and it’s really bad. The AC isn’t working properly, and room service is awful. A waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The property is getting old and could use some maintenance. Friendliness at reception could improve too.

I was here recently for a wedding. The rooms were good and the service was great. I’d definitely recommend coming back.

The location is prominent and easy to find, and access felt secure since you can’t reach the hotel floors without a lift card. My room had a pleasant view of EM Bypass, and the room itself was bright and very clean. The bathroom was spacious and well maintained. Fresh towels and proper toiletries were provided, though I’d have liked toiletries for two in a dual-sharing room. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety. The staff were courteous and ready to help with a smile. I also appreciated having a kettle and a tea and coffee kit for making a drink anytime. Poiisse Hotel, Kolkata was comfortable, clean, and well located. I’d recommend it for a stay in Kolkata.
