Eden garden, High Court, Howrah station, Esplanade market, Raj Bhavan, and State Assembly are all close by, which makes this a useful spot for business or a holiday. The hotel’s ship theme is amazing, and the location and concept both impressed me. At the bridge bistro restaurant, the menu was excellent and everything I tried tasted good. There’s plenty for breakfast, including continental, Indian, and South Indian options. The dinner menu was good too. I had Mixed veg subzi, rotis, and jeera rice, all excellent. Captain Dharmendra and Devendra were well trained and especially impressive for their care and attention to detail. They were courteous throughout. I had a great stay and highly recommend the hotel.

Watching river Ganga over breakfast or lunch was a nice experience. The restaurant was good, with lots of buffet choices at breakfast and dinner, although it’s a bit expensive. I liked the Biryani. The room was comfortable, but the hot water tap at the wash basin wasn’t working.

I was in Kolkata for a wedding and stayed here for 5 days on my first visit to the city. The hotel was very well managed and comfortable, and it stayed spotless throughout. I was on the 2nd floor, which was kept in perfect condition. Biswanath Prasad deserves special thanks for his support and attention to detail. The team went above and beyond. One call was all it took to get what I needed handled promptly and professionally. I wouldn’t try somewhere else on my next visit. Highly recommended, and I look forward to staying here again.

Suman deserves a special mention. He’s a true professional, friendly and attentive, and makes fantastic cocktails. His positive attitude brings a great feel to the bar. Highly recommended! We had a wonderful stay at Polo Floatel Kolkata. The accommodation was well maintained and relaxing, with a unique, pleasant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout.

The restaurants are a lovely place to eat, with a view of Ganga, and the setting is nice. Getting aboard may be difficult for people in traditional wear, older guests, and people with physical challenges. Since the hotel floats, you have to use a ramp, and it’s quite steep both going down and coming back up. It can also feel cramped when there’s a larger crowd.
