The restaurant was closed and under full renovation, so I can’t rate the dining. Staff were friendly and cooperative whenever I needed help, always ready with a smile. The location is excellent: it’s in the heart of the city, with the market nearby and good connections by public and private transport. Howrah, Sealdah and Kolkata Rly stn are about 30 minutes away by car. Hazra, Bhawanipur, Tollygunge, Esplanade and Park Street are also within easy reach. For food, there are good restaurants in Hazra, with more standard ones at Esplanade and Park Street. I’d rate the rooms average. I checked a Standard and a Normal room, and both needed more maintenance, even though the office says they’re working on it. The Premium Rooms may be better, judging by the photos. The infrastructure is average too, with no elevator, which makes the stairs difficult for senior citizens and people with knee problems.
