The service was okay, and the location works well if you're staying for shopping around New Market or Park Street. But the room is cramped, the bathroom tiny, and there's a lot of noise. Ventilation is poor, the windows can't be opened, and the generator doesn't supply enough electricity. The entrance is unclean and breakfast is very poor.

The hotel sits right in the middle of New Market, so you get a nice view. The rooms are decorated nicely, though they're quite small. Staff were polite and service was very good, and the food was great. I had a good stay.

I stayed here twice, on June 6th and June 9th, and both visits fell far below what I'd expect from a four-star hotel. On the first visit, we'd booked a couple's room but were told only twin beds were available. They offered a supposedly better room, but it smelled strongly unpleasant and felt like a downgrade, with old amenities that didn't match the advertised standard. We gave the hotel another chance and booked a higher-category room for June 9th. We arrived in the morning to leave our luggage, but check-in involved several forms, passport submissions, and delays. We had specifically asked for a fresh, clean room. When we came back that evening, there were blood-stained towels in the bathroom. The odor and towels are shown in the photos and videos I attached. The service and cleanliness on both stays were poor, and those basic hygiene and customer-care standards weren't met. It makes me question the hotel's star rating. If minus marks were possible, I'd give them. A disaster of a hotel, absolutely pathetic.

The bathroom setup listed here includes a tub with hot and cold controls and a handheld shower, plus a separate shower attachment, soap dispenser, toilet-paper fitting, towel holder, and basin with hot and cold controls. There are two large and two small towels, a lidded bin lined with plastic, a nonslip mat near the tub, flat nonslip slippers, a large mirror over the sink, and a wall-mounted hair dryer. Around the bed, the bedding includes a mattress, sheets, bed cover, quilt and cover, pillows and pillowcases. Nonslip mats sit on both sides, and the bedside table has a phone and a list of intercom numbers for the restaurant, laundry, and reception. Cleaning staff also provide a Bible, Geeta, or Koran depending on whether they know the guest's religious preference. The center table has rate cards for the spa, health club, room service, and laundry, along with a small decorative centerpiece and ashtray. Other listed items include a bathrobe, serving tray, coffee-table cover, rocking-chair cover, clothes hooks, and clothing-care supplies.
