Fabexpress Morjim Sea Waves

There aren’t many dining choices at the property, though plenty of good restaurants are an easy walk away. The beach right outside was clean and not too crowded, and the location was perfect. The staff at Morjim Sea Waves were always ready to help with a smile and made our stay memorable.

The rooms looked well presented and the location was great, but so many things didn’t work. The AC was out, I couldn’t lock the room from inside, and the bathroom tap didn’t fit in the sink. The fan was positioned so badly it was useless. There was no parking, and the staff were never around. We waited hours to check in because the staff had disappeared, among other problems.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and the owner was so polite to us.

If you’re traveling around Goa alone, you might manage a stay here. Otherwise, this was the worst experience I’ve had. The owner, as I remember, was from Gurgaon Haryana and was completely new to the business. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. Our flights were delayed, so we reached around 7 in the evening, but the rooms weren’t ready. They were a mess, as if they hadn’t been cleaned in a month. He insisted I check in first and look at them afterward, so I did as asked. Once we saw their condition, we decided to leave. Oyo didn’t cooperate either. After cancelling through Oyo, we were charged the advance we had paid, but the owner still wasn’t satisfied with the amount we’d booked for through Oyo. As we were leaving because of the room condition, he demanded more money even though we’d booked and paid everything through them. He kept saying, ‘aap oyo se chahe 2 Guna lo mujhe mere paise deke jao’. When I explained we’d booked through Oyo and paid them, he used physical force, tried to hurt and threaten us, and assaulted us. There were five of us, including my three sisters, and he mistreated them too. When he realized we wouldn’t pay another penny, he grabbed my friend and one of my sisters by the arm and said, ‘paise ni dene chal jaake kamre saaf kar’. You can imagine the scene on the road and the distress this caused. Experiences like this can haunt you for months. I’ve boycotted Oyo since then, and I had to write this review so anyone considering this hotel can make an informed decision about what they might face.
