Visitel - A Boutique Hotel

The staff were very uncooperative and didn’t follow through on commitments. There was loud noise below the room from the ground floor, coming from an encroached space at the back. Breakfast was miserable too, with everything gone by 9:30 AM. So many things fell short of even a basic standard.

I’ve never had such pathetic service from a hotel. The staff were hopeless when it came to service. If we asked for the room or washroom to be cleaned, they said they couldn’t do it. Our room wasn’t proper, so we requested a change, but they gave lame excuses even though other rooms were available. Highly not recommended.

The restaurant served chilled gulab jamun. When I brought it up, the reply was, “yes sir it is happening, but I couldn’t act on it”. The front office staff member had little understanding of hospitality. Management needs to realize that location is the only thing they have going for them. They need to keep up with the changing landscape.

The food was the best part for me: simple, tasty, freshly made, with a breakfast buffet offering local and continental choices. Room service was prompt and polite. The hotel is also well located for nearby attractions, public transport, and restaurants, and feels like good value for the price. The room was clean, comfortable, and maintained well, with the basics I expected: good Wi-Fi, clean linen, hot water, and a cozy bed. It wasn’t especially luxurious, but was thoughtfully laid out and suited a short or medium stay. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff were warm, professional, courteous, and organized from the start. I had a genuinely pleasant stay and would consider coming back. It’s a solid budget choice for comfort, cleanliness, and friendly service.
