If you're in Kota, this little active palace is worth seeing and staying in. It offers a glimpse of how the rajas lived, with history all around and lovely small gardens for afternoon tea. There's also a dining room for a meal with royal etiquette. They make ice cream using their on-site dairy and ice factory, and it was scrumptious.

The location is beautiful, and the rooms are okay. I stayed for three days after hearing the place was haunted, so my friends and I tried to see for ourselves. At night, it felt like something might be following footsteps from the room, though the echo could just be from the old palace. We didn't find a ghost 😅, but sometimes the place does feel a bit haunted. The hotel is good overall.

We ate at Brijraj Bhawan Palace Hotel Kota in the summer of 2021, and the hospitality from the staff made the meal feel like the royal era. The food was delicious, and its taste has stayed with us ever since. Those ghost stories are rubbish, made up by people who haven't really been here.

This is a beautiful, peaceful place, and I think you'll enjoy spending time here. I don't understand why people are posting made-up stories about it, or why anyone would want to damage the palace's good image. Don't worry about that silly story. The hotel management should take action, especially since the review was posted only two months ago.
