Hotel Hallmark

It’s in a good spot near Talwandi circle, and the rooms are spacious and modern. Service, though, was painfully slow. I had to ring reception five times for drinking water, and it took half an hour to arrive. Toiletries weren’t in the room either, so I had to call for those too.

I told the front desk about all these problems, but they didn’t respond. The rooms I booked had cockroaches, and no drinking water was served. Room service was pathetic, and the food staff seemed unprofessional. At breakfast they only had poha and a sandwich. I ordered poha, but it wasn’t really like poha, it was dry and cold.

There aren’t many food choices, so you’ll always have to depend on food from outside. The staff weren’t professional, and the night shift receptionist wasn’t friendly with customers. Worst service I’ve experienced at a hotel.

The AC was so noisy it made the room uncomfortable, and the charging point was by the washroom door instead of near the bed. It’s inconvenient to keep getting up just to charge a phone. The bed had lots of hair on it too. Since I was only there for one night, I didn’t complain about much, but a room should at least be checked properly before a guest gets it. I work in this industry too and would never give my guests a room like that. I know the water quality here may not be great and could cause washroom stains, but the bathroom still shouldn’t look this unclean. Management needs to pay more attention to these details.
