Hotel Surpin Palace

The staff were wonderful, from check-in through quick, tasty room service, and the hospitality was good. Still, the place feels neglected. It may once have been a great property, but the owner seems unwilling to spend on regular upkeep. The bathroom had no ventilation and smelled a little, while the old property had a strong mold smell in my room. I noticed another room didn't smell, but they wouldn't move me when I asked. Staff said the other rooms had even bigger problems. The AC had no remote, several lights didn't work, and both the sofa and bedsheets were torn and worn out. With some maintenance spending, this could be a great property again.

The standard, facilities, and service were poor, and the staff weren't cooperative. They use the word "palace" in the name, but it's just a place 😄

Please think many times before booking here. We stayed from 29.06.25 to 01.07.25, and after the hotel owner got the payment, his attitude changed. The manager and housekeeper were rude. None of the TVs worked, the toilet and washroom weren't cleaned properly, and the manager didn't provide toilet paper. We were there for three days, but nobody came to clean the room or change the sheets. The beds and sheets were dirty and smelled. We ordered tea and a light breakfast at 8 in the morning, but it arrived around 10. Don't book dinner or a party here, either, because the staff don't serve food at the table. For a get-together or wedding party, be very clear with management about what's included in the dishes, or they may mislead you. The fan regulator didn't work, there was no AC remote or Wi-Fi, and the curtain system was broken, with the curtains falling down by themselves. When you complain, management and staff give lame excuses. They seem practiced at fooling customers who come from other states.
